Q1. How old do I need to be to join Task Squad?
A: You need to be 18-25 to be accepted for work on Task Squad.
Q2. What do I need to do to sign up?
A: You need to be registered on vInspired.com and have recorded some volunteering experience - without it we can't place you in a paid role. Find out more. Next, you need to complete your Task Squad CV including your personal details and bank account information. This is so we can send your CV to employers and pay you when you've completed a task. Lastly, you'll need to accept the Task Squad terms and conditions on your user profile and we'll need to check your ID.
Q3. Why do you need to see my ID and how does this work?
A: It's a legal requirement to check your right to work in the UK. Unfortunately you cannot just send us a scan of your ID, we need to see you in person. You can arrange an appointment by emailing us.
Q4. What type of ID is required?
A: You can bring in any combination of the documents below.
Q5. How much will I be paid?
A: Information regarding your working hours and hourly rate of pay is outlined in the Task descriptions. As a minimum we ask all our employers to pay £8 perhour. Tax and National Insurance will be deducted from this.
Q6. How will I get paid?
A: At the end of each Task you need to submit a completed timesheet to firstname.lastname@example.org.Task Squad pays you weekly into your bank account and you will receive a pay slip.
Q7. Can I do more than one Task at once?
A: Yes, you can do as many as you like. The more Tasks you do, the more you can boost your CV.
Q8. How will I know if my application has been successful?
A: When you are accepted for a Task you will receive an email and a text message. You can also login to your dashboard at any time to see the progress of your applications.
Q9. Will you let me know if my application is unsuccessful?
If you haven't heard anything within 2 days of the application deadline then it is likely that you haven't been successful this time. Unfortunately due to the number of applications we recieve we cannot contact each applicant individually. Use the dashboard to keep an eye on the progress of your applications.

Q11. What should I do if I have to cancel a Task at the last minute?
A: You should always check your availability before committing to a Task but we do understand that some circumstances are out of your control. You can 'reject' a Task on your profile or drop us an email as soon as you know you need to cancel. If you have to cancel on the day call us urgently on 07922049336 so we can let the employer know.
Q1. How do I post a Task?
The Task Squad team manage all postings. This ensures we can tailor the Task to get maximum interest from our community.
Q2. How much does it cost to post a Task?
It's free to post a Task. We charge £4 per hour for completed Tasks in addition to the hourly rate you pay the young person. This is usually a total of £12 to the organisation.

Q4. What is the average Task duration>
Task duration can vary. Some are a few hours right up to a few months and some move to permanent contracts. There's no limit really. Contact us to discuss your needs.
Q5. Do I get to see applicant CVs?
Yes you can see the CV for each applicant. If you prefer, we can select an applicant on your behalf.
Q6. I have an emergency. How quickly can I get someone?
We usually start getting applications within a few hours of posting a Task. Many of our young people are available at short notice. However, we do require seven working days' notice of a task, particularly if it's your first Task with us.
Q7. What if I have to cancel at the last minute?
Just drop us an email or call us as soon as possible so we can notify the applicant.
Q8. What if the young person doesn't turn up?
This should only happen in extenuating circumstances. All the young people on Task Squad have a record of turning up and being reliable in previous Tasks or volunteering opportunities.
Q9. Who pays the young people?
At the end of each Task and when the young person submits a timesheet authorised by the organisation and vInspired will arrange their payment and invoice you.
Q10. What happens if I want to take on a young person permanently?
That's great news! As part of our contract, we would charge 10% of their starting salary. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
